The sessions are done mainly on a massage table, with the client fully clothed. With gentle finger pressure, the practitioner senses and enhances the flow of energy in the client’s body-mind-spirit.  Shiatsu is an instrument to help the client reach higher levels of energetic expansion in order to access their own healing power. 

Diego Sanchez also specializes in giving shiatsu to critical illness  and hospice-care patients.  He has worked on staff at the Integrative Medicine Program at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, giving shiatsu to open-heart surgery patients.
